I guarantee that if you implement just half of these videos on your website, you’ll be 10 times ahead of your competition—instantly setting yourself apart as the dentist in your area.

If you don’t know me, I’m Arron, the COO of Roadside Dental MarketingThis link leads to Home page.

Before stepping into this role, I launched over 300 websites.

With 10+ years of experience, I’ve seen firsthand that video is a game-changer. It’s what connects with people, builds trust quickly, and brings high-quality patients through the door.

Patients want to feel comfortable and informed before booking an appointment, and they prefer to see a video.

And Google recognizes this as well.

Video drives a 157% increase in organic traffic, and it’s 53% more likely to show up on page 1.This link opens a new tab to the Wordstream website

So, let’s dive into the 8 videos that will make the biggest impact on your website.

Dental video #1: Brand Philosophy

This is where you tell people about your values, mission, and philosophy when it comes to dentistry. It provides insight into what you’re all about—why you do what you do.

In this video, you can explain just that. You can discuss your journey and your approach, but what they really want to know is what drives you to provide dentistry.

Once you have that video polished, it can be one to two minutes long. We can place it on your homepage so it’s front and center, as well as on your About page, allowing people to get to know you a little better.

This is such an important video, and people love to watch it.

Dental video #2: Thought Leader

A second important video to have on your website is the thought leader video. In this video, you’ll position yourself as an expert in your field.

You can go into detail about your education, the technology you use, and the courses you’ve taken to build trust with your patients. This video also demonstrates that you go the extra mile compared to your competition, helping you stand out as an expert.

Within the video, consider offering some top tips and breaking down a few of the common barriers that people face, such as fear or anxiety. Show them that you truly are the go-to person for dentistry.

We recommend positioning this video on your blog or perhaps in a dedicated Thought Leader section on your website.

This video can make a significant difference because it helps people get to know you, like you, and trust you.

Dental video #3: What to expect

Video number three is probably the most important one for me. It tells patients what to expect when they come to your dental practice, providing a video walkthrough of a typical first patient exam, what to expect when they arrive at the front desk, and what will happen next.

This helps to break down barriers, ease anxiety, and demonstrates that you are in dentistry for your patients. You’re thinking about their experience and making an extra effort for them.

In the video, you can present the information in a few ways. As I mentioned, it can be targeted toward first-time patients or just patients in general, showcasing the conveniences, how they will fill out the forms, and what will happen during a typical visit.

We would place this video in a couple of locations on your website, likely on the homepage. If you have a resources or new patient section, it should be prominent there as well.

The great thing about this video is that you can involve your whole team and have a lot of fun with it, too.

Dental video #4: Financing and insurance

This next video is great for potential patients, but it’s also beneficial for your team. What it does is answer common questions about finances and insurance.

In this video, you can have one of your team members or yourself break down the insurances you accept, the financing options available, any membership plans you have, and how they work and fit into the appointment process.

By doing this, you will break down potential barriers for patients who wonder what you accept, and it also shows that you’re anticipating common questions, which demonstrates your interest in your patients.

This video can be very short and to the point, simply answering those fundamental finance and insurance questions. It can be placed at the bottom of the homepage, on the contact page, or even in the resources page we talked about earlier.

Dental video #5: Patient testimonials

You probably already know the power of reviews and testimonials, but when they are presented on video, they are ten times more impactful for viewers.

If you can have some of your real-life patients record a quick 30-second to one-minute testimonial explaining their experience, it will be a game changer for your website.

These videos can be filmed on a smartphone; they just need to be authentic, genuine, and to the point.

We recommend placing these videos on the homepage, the About Us page, and if they are service-specific, on the relevant service pages. This way, potential patients can really see what you offer and the genuine benefits you provide.

Dental video #6: Welcome video

The next video I’d like to mention is the welcome video. This can be a fun, lighthearted video that introduces you and your dental practice. It will help patients feel more comfortable and build trust. You can include snapshots of your team working with patients.

Consider walking through the office a bit and introducing the typical experience they can expect when visiting your dental practice.

As I mentioned, this video should be nice and short, filled with fun, smiling faces. We would place it on the homepage or perhaps on the Meet the Team page so people can see what to expect and who they will be visiting with.

Dental video #7: Service video

Can you believe it? We’re already at number seven, and this video is the service-specific video.

This video positions you as an expert within a specific service, breaking down how it works and detailing the benefits and outcomes of that service.

We find it’s effective to focus on the services you want to promote more, or those that have a bit more complexity, such as cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, or Invisalign.

Briefly walk through what to expect and address any barriers that might exist regarding patients accepting that type of treatment. It probably goes without saying that these videos should be placed on specific service pages.

This will complement the text content and provide a fuller understanding of what each service is all about.

Dental video #8: FAQs

Our last video is the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) video series. What this does is give your team a break from answering common questions that people have.

You can create a video addressing these questions and place it on your website for potential patients to watch.

This is similar to what we mentioned in the finance and insurance video, helping people get their questions answered quickly before they even become patients. This builds trust and shows that you’re genuinely considering your patients’ needs.

This particular series of videos should be located in a Frequently Asked Questions section or throughout the website where relevant.

For instance, if it relates to insurance, include a few videos addressing that topic.

Alternatively, if it’s about a specific service, you can have FAQ videos that address common concerns or barriers that potential patients may have.
